"We recently sold our house, rented it back from the buyer, purchased a co-op apartment that overlapped with the rent-back from our buyer. The complexity of all these changes: replacing homeowners with renters' insurance, adding an HO-6 policy in a different city that overlapped our rental period and then moving and change insurance areas resulted in an incredible number of confusing refunds and bills.
